                <description><![CDATA[Picked up a copy of George Alec Effinger&#039;s When Gravity Fails recently, and I&#039;m already hooked. It&#039;s a gritty, hardboiled, cyberpunk fiction published in 1987, centered around the character of Marîd Audran; a detective that&#039;s been hired to look for a two-hundred-year-old godfather&#039;s son. What I like about it so far is that the technologies could easily be something from current times. Implants, handheld phones, etc. I&#039;m only 30 pages in, and already the topics range from transhumanism to gender ...]]></description>
